Fabrics

OXFORD

The name of this fabric is taken from the English collegiate City of Oxford where it was worn by the students for leisure wear, generally considered to be a bit sporty, less formal than Poplin or Zephyr. Its characteristic structure is a warp (usually coloured) that is much finer than the weft which is thicker and traditionally white, producing a chalky white characteristic melange effect.

TWILL

Twill is a type of textile weave with a pattern of diagonal parallel ribs. This is done by passing the weft thread over one or more warp threads then under two or more warp threads and so on, with a “step,” or offset, between rows to create the characteristic diagonal pattern. Because of this structure, twill generally drapes well.

COLLAR

The collar is the most important part of the shirt. Tailors Club offers you twelve different shapes in four styles of collars.

Cuffs in Tailors Club shirt are cut by hand to the customer’s measurements to guarantee the perfect fit around the wrist. For your better comfort we offer you four shapes and styles of cuffs.

To make your Tailors club shirt more unique and individual we offer special monogrammes on the shirt.

BUTTONS

TAILORS CLUB provides the shirts with the most luxurious buttons made of mother of pearls, hand cut from Australian shells. The buttons are wrapped by hand, for extra reinforcement and to prevent buttons detaching from the shirt. The fine lily stitching on the button stands out and is instantly recognisable as Tailors Club handiwork. We offer you 14 different buttons

The subtle gusset and tone on tone crest on the right cuff are our certificate of Tailors Club quality.

TKANINY PRZYGOTOWANE DLA CIEBIE:

TKANINY

OXFORD

Nazwa tej tkanin pochodzi od angielskiego miasta uniwersyteckiego – Oxford – gdzie była noszona przez studentów jako ubiór nieformalny, ogólnie postrzegany za lekko sporty, z pewnością mniej formalny niż popelina czy zefir. Charakteryzuje się strukturą splotu, składającą się z wątku – o wiele cieńszej nitki poziomej (zwykle kolorowa) oraz grubszej, zwykle białej osnowy (nitka pionowa), co nadaje jej melanżowy, kredowy efekt.

TWILL

Twill jest typem splotu, ułożonego we wzór z równoległych, skośnych żeber. Skośny efekt jest tworzony przez naprzemienne przeplatanie osnowy (nitki pionowej) nad, a następnie pod jednym lub więcej wątkami (nitka pozioma), z zachowaniem „stopnia”, lub odstępu, między żebrami. Dzięki takiej strukturze, twill zwykle dobrze się układa.
